His Name Is ...
(click here to hear this "Moment") In a Bible class one Sunday morning, the teacher was using a then popular TV show to help make his point. The show was Walker Texas Ranger.I don’t remember the exact words he used but it was something like, “That Walker guy on TV.” Very clearly, I remember what happened next.A little white haired old lady calmly raised her hand and stood. Leaning across the table and looking the teacher squarely in the eyes she said, “His name is Cordell!”I am sure given the opportunity she could have told us all about Cordell Walker, the Texas Ranger.Most of us in fact know all there is to know about our favorite TV characters and shows, often scheduling our lives around each new episode.Don’t even get me started on how we treat our favorite sports teams and players.I’d just be curious to know though, how many of us are ready to stand and set the record straight saying, “His name is Jesus!”I'm Jeff Phillips and this has been aniServeHim moment.
