Well, here is a letter, written to me that slapped me in the face. Got me thinking about what stuff wrote 2 days ago.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift YOU up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring
lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith,
because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is
undergoing the same kind of sufferings. (1 Peter 5:6-9)
For in Scripture it says:
“See, I lay a stone in Zion,
a chosen and precious cornerstone,
and the one who trusts in him
will never be put to shame.”[a]
7 Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe,
“The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,”[b]
8 and,
“A stone that causes people to stumble
and a rock that makes them fall.”[c]
They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for. (1 Peter 2:6)
(Dan), IT IS TIME you made up your mind whom you choose to believe and obey.
Therefore: If serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for
yourself this day whom you will serve. Joshua 24:15
You need to make up your mind wether you are going to believe God's Word or not
but you cannot have it both ways. You cannot continue to disect it to your desire.
Lately you have created an image of God in your mind and that image is NOT God. God's Word
is perfect and righteous and you need to either believe what it says or not to, but STOP
making it something it is not. His Word is either truth or a lie and if you say it is truth
than you need to put your total trust in it and stop questioning it and start believing in it.
God is light and there is no shadow in Him.
(Dan) , you need to decide whether the message of the cross is foolishness to you
or the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18) It can only be one or the other. He is either
the Cornerstone or the capstone of our lives. (1 Peter 2:6) His Word is either truth or lie and if truth than why do
you continue to question it when you don't agree with it. If it is truth there is NOTHING
you can disagree with. I can understand not being able at times to understand what His Word says
or why He did this here or allowed this there and why not here or there? Our desire to know the
whys is reasonable if we don't make them our life but still doesn't give us a reason to not believe.
You must remember that: The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed
belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law. (Deu. 29:29)
One thing for sure is that you cannot pick and choose what passages to believe and what
passages not to believe.
Therefore you must take every thought captive and evaluate them and make them obedient
to Christ. Our feelings and what we believe can be very different than God's which is
why we have to make them obedient to Him. (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)
If He is truth and His Word is truth than you need to START putting your trust in Him
and believing His promises instead of questioning them or accusing Him of being a liar by
contradicting Himself by not fulfilling His promises the way YOU want Him to. He is our CREATOR
and owes us NO explanation if that is what He chooses.
