Some notes form a lesson


-Not a lesson I made, one from worship on Wednesday, thought I would share-

Jeremiah 17:9
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?

Who is the last person to trust in a difficult situation ? Oneself.

Psalms 77:6
6 I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart; And my spirit maketh diligent search.

Hunting for some is the time of this. But it takes training. We have to take time to do this. To search.

Diligent- how/ what do we do diligently?

Lamentations 3:40
40 Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Jehovah.

Always back it up with scripture, (that is the standard which things are judged)

1 Corinthians 11:28
28 But let a man prove himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.

Above we should be examining ourselves,  doing intently weekly, daily.
We should each be able to be deacons, meaning aspirations to those qualifications. Not the few people ( groomed at birth, no) we should strive for that? ( question of self).

Reverence, righteous, these are words we aka me don't do.

Self examination-
2 Corinthians 13:5
5 Try your own selves, whether ye are in the faith; prove your own selves. Or know ye not as to your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you? unless indeed ye be reprobate.

1 Corinthians 11:31
31 But if we discerned ourselves, we should not be judged.
We need to judge ourselves, aka fix yourself.

1 Corinthians 11:32
32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.
- goes with v 31, God must/ will chasten  us. Through the Word .

(2 Timothy 2:15
15 Give diligence to present thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, handling aright the word of truth.  ( my added verse)

We are afraid to have our toes stepped on .

If we are listening, each lesson will speak to us.

Galatians 6:4
4 But let each man prove his own work, and then shall he have his glorying in regard of himself alone, and not of his neighbor.
- um, need to look into that-

Sometimes thing must be said, but teach them the path lovingly, (which here, spoke in a softer, um, side of love)  usually.
Also, when making a point, don't judge, let the Word judge. To base on ourselves, this judgement is to make ourselves judge, but it is God who judges,  so let His Word do the judging. You aren't (Dan and the qwhole world) worthy to judge like that.

Note on side- is there any soul not wanted ?

Side note-Galatians 6:3
3 For if a man thinketh himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

Psalm 63 &119 :59,121:?

15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil[ one]. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,

8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

" everything we do not temper in our spiritual lives will kill us ." - the brother speaking-
-meaning, that the term, "whatever doesn't not kill you makes you stronger" is not true. If we let our sin just be there it will eat us away and destroy us.

Hopefully someone is encouraged or helped by this.
