2 Peter 3:8-9

Patience, forgiveness......words, made by action. We are to follow God's example. Eph. 5:¹ Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children ² and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

 Also, this means opening up to the fact I will hurt  others and others me. Repent, and allow those to repent. This is why we are told to be fools, the world says " do this, only take this much pain then walk away or find another way, person, yada yada...." 

This is not right. Jesus said, "³ So watch yourselves.

   “If your brother or sister^[a] sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. ⁴ Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them."" Luke 17

A mature Christian "preaches" with his or her life.

Many times we try to talk people into accepting Jesus, but yet we fail to show them Jesus; we don't act any differently than the rest of the world, even though we claim to be saved. The world isn't looking for talk; it wants walk. Therefore, we, as Christians, must live differently: stop telling, and start showing.

Matthew 7:20 tells us how to recognize truly mature Christians: "by their fruit." Stop worrying about the outward show that you put on in front of your friends, and start developing the Fruit of the Spirit in your inner life (see Galatians 5:22-23). Then once you have learned to be kind, gentle, peaceful and joyful even during difficult circumstances, non-Christians will see you and say to themselves, "I want what you've got." Then, you will be able to share Jesus with them effectively.

We need to develop the Fruit of the Spirit in our lives. Interestingly, the first Fruit mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23 is "love." Furthermore, in John 13:35, Jesus said, "By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." In other words, love ought to be the trademark of every believer.

It is by living a life of love that you make the world hungry and thirsty for the joy, kindness, patience, peace, and stability that you have. The world isn't reading the Bible; they're reading Christians like you. And if they don't like what they see in you, they're not going to want what you've got—Jesus.

I got nothing

Hm, I'm tired. I feel so alone. Why did she walk away ? why did she leave like this?
Allowing is not the same as approving. God allows us to choose to have faith not in what He says or not. There is so much that is to choose, to do the " I believe this means this" " I believe there is no God" "I believe in Islam" " I believe but, I think this" " I believe this only works for then times, now though I can and I say this is this, and I believe God would do this"
Ah, I can't figure this out. I have to take it basic, God says this, i have to do that. I have to fight and fight to do it and when I fail, I have to repent and fight more. This life isn't about joy in it, but joy in God, it's all about God.

That is a scary thing to some, and well, this "all about God" is worth addressing and getting out of the system Dan. Yet not today. My life is all I got to show what I believe, if I put anything above God, her included, then it will fail and God says:

Henceforth, I have to believe, God will work things out., That when when we choose to believe what WE want, He can do what He wants if we turn back to Him. He says, I do. He says, I fail and He picks me up. It's not gonna be easy and it will be a thorn among families, can we let go of them for God?

Oh, God, reconcile my heart to Yours! Kill this heart of mine and ressurect the dead parts to whatever You want.
Be with her, convict her heart to do what You say. Help me to do what is right and for us to not get complacent or lose ourselves in false worship.

Frustrated-from some other source

I'm frustrated. Out of my mind. I don't want to live as this world says, but it looks so inviting. Where is truth? My heart longs for her, always, day in and out. I separate myself, yet what for? Am I relying on myself? Frustration, confusion at times. Then I read this. Thought about discussion with some guys on Easter and I remembered how God did it, not me. Didn't have to try really, it just was.  Frustrated today , felt so out of i, drained. Only You , God, can save this wretched world. Use me to do it. Help me let go. Be with them, with her, with the family, give her a conviction of Your Word. and a hug. 

Frustrated? It may be because you're trying to make something happen that only God can make happen.

Whenever you are doing what God has called you to do, it is important to rely on His strength, His grace, and His power to complete your task. You will become frustrated if you try to make things happen on your own strength instead of relying on God. God is the author and finisher of His plans (Hebrews 12:2), and you must not try to take the place of God if you expect things to work out.

In Colossians 1:26-27, Paul reveals a mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations... Christ in you, the hope of glory. In other words, there is something that people of the past didn't know—it was hidden from them, a mystery to them—but Paul is now revealing that mystery to us: Christ lives in all who believe in Him! No longer is God just with his people—God now lives in his people!

Also, note that it is Christ in you that's the hope of glory—not Christ and you.

Paul then continues by saying that he labors and works for the gospel, but all of his labor is really done by Christ's power, which so powerfully works in [him](Colossians 1:29).

If you're trying to labor without Christ's power at work within you, then your labor will be frustrating and in vain. You need to stop trying, and start dying to self so that you may be alive to Christ's power.

Struggle and frustration occur when you try to do God's job by your own strength—rather than relying on Christ's strength, which is at work in you.

I'm kinda um, weirded out, cause you see, today, well today I was told I was a cruel and sick.

When I try and push to read Your words or listen to music made for You, oh God, I usually relax, it helps.
But when I don't this shadow surrounds me, like a cloak. Like a suffocating, constricting band over my heart and soul!
Seems like every day it is a war. It is as if I just have to constantly remember a verse or some verse to a good song. I'm tired God, where is the rest? Where is the justice? How long will You put up with us? How far have we gone from you?

Why is this shadow so heavy and life sucking ? Even my dreams are affected.

Oh Holy One! HELP! I know what is right, but when the shadow of darkness comes over me, it's like nothing matters, despair, anger, frustration, darkness.

OH God I pray for her, in to Your Hands I commit this. I pray for conviction for us, for the heart to bow down and not try to be king or queen or ruler. I pray for the heart to obey and trust. To obey and trust not what I want, not what others say, just what You say. To not take authority into my hands, but rely it and refer it to You. We try and act like we can take Your Authority away and make what You say how we want. There is so much pain and betrayal and hurt. What have we done?! What's in a name?

Well, Dan, what's in a name? You know, this week, a little bit in, maybe Tuesday, (yeah lots of commas.....sidetracked :P) , you saw what happens when we don't think through something. Tell the story:
Ok, so guy comes into work, he's new. One of the older higher up guys sees a sticker on the back of new guy's vehicle. It says "Combat Medic" . (He got it to help get out of tickets) Well, all this week, new guy has been getting joked at and so forth about being a "Combat Medic" . Well it goes without saying most of the guys are not hm, well, most of the guys think "You are a retard new guy for doing that. You just got out of training and you have no idea what that sticker means" (um, I had to clean up the language cause it was um, not clean).

So, what's in a name? Ok, well from passing training, I remember "yay i'm a medic now! cool, I'll get callled"Doc" and it will be so cool". .....shortly after a few months later, I went overseas. Now, I neither care to be called a "combat medic". Hm, any of the guys I have talked to don't care to be called a "combat medic" . Why?
This is what it means:  someone got hurt fighting in a war and I had to see it and treat it. That is not something to be proud of and get all "hey look at me, I did this" .
No there is more to that name than just some title. The thoughts of rockets and things being shot at the men, a guy getting a dangerous femoral bleed, another internally bleeding, another shot, the other injuries. No, it is a not something light. that is just on the medic side.

why the story? Cause Dan, you talked to a few people and they said the same thing, they don't wear their badges cause of that. "Someone got hurt, why am I parading that around?" they say. But why the story?
BECAUSE!!!!! Because, a title or name can do so much damage and have so much behind it.

I've been made fun of alot the past few weeks cause I say that is what I am. Not only that, but it has caused people to openly jut disregard and try to make me mess up and just really, frustrate me.
Feels like at every turn inside me and out, I'm being attacked. Both by my own self and others. What is a Christian?

Simply, I don't know fully. But what others have said a "Christian" is, is nothing I have ever seen or read or anything.

- always want something but never there when you need them

- just a big group of people who can' even agree within themselves (all the religious "Christian" groups are put together....catholic,, lutheran, baptist, etc)

-Bible thumpers.....haha, I heard that this week, haven't heard that term in a long time.
- Nice People
-Moral people

So, what is in a name? Dan, what is a Christian? Is it something to be proud of? Is it something I can just mold how I want? Hm, many days now I have seen it. Later I will actually put out a triumph of one discussion/ argument on such.
But that definition is just not doing this justice.

What is a Christian?
Hm, Well, follower of Christ. That is, both in His life and His words. Jesus said to follow what He said, to follow God. So, we follow God through His Word. The Bible.

Wow, that seems so simple, just so simple.
It isn't. Nope, it isn't. Just how unsimple is being shown everyday. EVERYDAY !
