A quote, a view from another perspective......

Sin is a deliberate treason against the majesty of God, an assault upon His crown, an insult offered to His throne.

Author: Charles Spurgeon

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Um, I read a lot of news. Not sure why. I used to play a lot of video games, now I can barely play for more than a little while if at all. But perspective is key. In the news there are so many perspectives or views.

Sometimes I think, Dan, that we see sin as the bad puppy, you know, bad puppy, smack on nose and then give it hugs n kisses or however.
It is no longer "so bad" but merely, sorta bad or bad only from this or that perspective.....

The quote author here seems to say that sin is a rebellion to God, to His power and well a direct act of attack to god.....

In that way, maybe we take sin more seriously?

Never Give up

Too many times when we fail we just give up. Gave up today...... was trying to compete for something today and I utterly failed. I gave up.....
We ain't going to win everytime. Nor will we be the best. To give up is not right. Someone never gave up on you and believes in u. I failed..... I gave up.
It was wrong.

Giving up is weakness. Our world is weak. You do not have to be such. Don't give up..... like I did.

Group Projects

This is how life is. We work and do things and it feels like we are always let down. Now  if this is true, then while we trust no one..... then we shouldn't be trusted. I know not so crazy smart, but instead of blaming others...... how about we see how we can change this perception of ourselves..... what did Jesus say.... if you clean the inside of the cup, the outside will be clean too. (Matthew 23:26) . Likewise, make it so YOU can be trusted and then it will flow out and others will come around you that are trustworthy..... maybe not today, not tomorrow, but in time.

C. S. Lewis

“I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: I’m ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don’t accept his claim to be God. That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic — on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg — or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God, or else a madman or something worse. You can shut him up for a fool, you can spit at him and kill him as a demon or you can fall at his feet and call him Lord and God, but let us not come with any patronizing nonsense about his being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to.”

simple yet true

Video gamers get the quote..... but more importantly simple block's are still fun after so many years. In faith, people wanna be complex..... " this is old fashioned" "this is too easy, has to be something more complex meaning"
God doesn't make it complex. Its simple and straight forward..... there is no "special code" or such. I don't need to make it harder to "weed out the unworthy or whatever we swittch to make it sound better..... its aime and legos as an example..... time tested and applicable.
God made it simple. Its doing it that is hard.

Hope for humanity

Evening

"Father, I have sinned."
Luke 15:18
It is quite certain that those whom Christ has washed in his precious blood need not make a confession of sin, as culprits or criminals, before God the Judge, for Christ has forever taken away all their sins in a legal sense, so that they no longer stand where they can be condemned, but are once for all accepted in the Beloved; but having become children, and offending as children, ought they not every day to go before their heavenly Father and confess their sin, and acknowledge their iniquity in that character? Nature teaches that it is the duty of erring children to make a confession to their earthly father, and the grace of God in the heart teaches us that we, as Christians, owe the same duty to our heavenly Father. We daily offend, and ought not to rest without daily pardon. For, supposing that my trespasses against my Father are not at once taken to him to be washed away by the cleansing power of the Lord Jesus, what will be the consequence? If I have not sought forgiveness and been washed from these offences against my Father, I shall feel at a distance from him; I shall doubt his love to me; I shall tremble at him; I shall be afraid to pray to him: I shall grow like the prodigal, who, although still a child, was yet far off from his father. But if, with a child's sorrow at offending so gracious and loving a Parent, I go to him and tell him all, and rest not till I realize that I am forgiven, then I shall feel a holy love to my Father, and shall go through my Christian career, not only as saved, but as one enjoying present peace in God through Jesus Christ my Lord. There is a wide distinction between confessing sin as a culprit, and confessing sin as a child. The Father's bosom is the place for penitent confessions. We have been cleansed once for all, but our feet still need to be washed from the defilement of our daily walk as children of God.

Finally........

We all rejoice and smile when we do something "good".  Today was a good day. Many months of people working together, some good some not so good. Finally I saw the product of people's perseverance. Today/night ANGELS REJOICE! another soul saved. Congratulations, Sam, on your decision. I hope the best for you and know that God loves you more than anyone else could and I wouldn't be surprised if He was weeping for joy(yeah we got the ability to weep from God).

That is all. May others rejoice on your decision and maybe come to also.

Peace, Love, Happiness always.......

No more hate, no more revenge......

John 13:34-35

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. - John 3:16

Um pretty common verse. Used as a "feel good" verse in society. Whether they know it or not, such as in entertainment wrestling, they have signs with "austin 3:16" or someone's favorite wrestler "3:16"

Hey, the Bible says God sent His Son into the world to save people that believe in Him.

Feel good...... Well not really known or said is the next verse...... " For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him."

In society, God is the "punisher" the one who makes us uneasy...... "GOD IS PUNISHING ME, HE HATES ME" yada yada. That isn't so, the problem is we get the feel good stuff how we want it to be but miss the whole point. God wants to save everyone.

The next time someone says something along the lines of " God is watching down waiting to punish and  wag His finger at me " Or " God wants me to see how bad I will be today adn make me feel bad about myself..." remember verse 17. Not to condemn, but to save.

Morning - of morning and evening

Morning

"For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ."
2 Corinthians 1:5
There is a blessed proportion. The Ruler of Providence bears a pair of scales--in this side he puts his people's trials, and in that he puts their consolations. When the scale of trial is nearly empty, you will always find the scale of consolation in nearly the same condition; and when the scale of trials is full, you will find the scale of consolation just as heavy. When the black clouds gather most, the light is the more brightly revealed to us. When the night lowers and the tempest is coming on, the Heavenly Captain is always closest to his crew. It is a blessed thing, that when we are most cast down, then it is that we are most lifted up by the consolations of the Spirit. One reason is, because trials make more room for consolation. Great hearts can only be made by great troubles. The spade of trouble digs the reservoir of comfort deeper, and makes more room for consolation. God comes into our heart--he finds it full--he begins to break our comforts and to make it empty; then there is more room for grace. The humbler a man lies, the more comfort he will always have, because he will be more fitted to receive it. Another reason why we are often most happy in our troubles, is this--then we have the closest dealings with God. When the barn is full, man can live without God: when the purse is bursting with gold, we try to do without so much prayer. But once take our gourds away, and we want our God; once cleanse the idols out of the house, then we are compelled to honour Jehovah. "Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord." There is no cry so good as that which comes from the bottom of the mountains; no prayer half so hearty as that which comes up from the depths of the soul, through deep trials and afflictions. Hence they bring us to God, and we are happier; for nearness to God is happiness. Come, troubled believer, fret not over your heavy troubles, for they are the heralds of weighty mercies.

expect reality

"I never expect a perfect work from an imperfect man." -Alexander Hamilton

Published with Blogger-droid v2.0.9

Sometimes it's just good to remember what has already been said....

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 -

just a verse

Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

Tired

The days are long the nights are cold and lonely. The pay is low and the people are nosy. When you think you are good you find out you are so bad. When you want all you can see, you find out you have all that you need.

I work with many types of people, some are older (a lot actually), some are younger. Some are just a little sick, some are dying. if there is ever a place you can get a clue of how blessed you are, try walking without legs or not any arms, or being barely in your 20's and have a lifelong disease. Ina  society that says "hey.\, I'm ipad 4, you need me to live" (you get the picture) or "Hey, you need these shoes, cars, money, and fame." Reality tv, funy yet crude shows...... and of course no one can ever live without cell phones or twitter or facebook or whatever is now...... side note, "bang with friends" ? What? go through your "friends" on facebook and this application with allow you to put the friends you would have random sex with and if they download it also you both will be notified..... um, yeah..... about that......

it's easy to get caught up with it. Shoot, I bought an Ipod touch and then some other electronics...... found out I didn't need them haha. I bought new clothes and some other stuff...... you guessed it, Dan, didn't need it. I gave away my xbox a long time ago, and came to new place and was all into getting an electronic toy....... yup it's sitting in a box on some dresser unopened. I have longed for this and that, jealous for how cool things some people buy. Then I wake up every morning and wonder.... "Why do I live, why is there a hole or longing.....?"

Tired...... got a hole. Then I started listening to music, not just any but some old stuff I had and memories came back. When was I living? Where did I die? I died at the point where "things" became more important than living. To be alive.... that is when there is helping people, singing in the shower some nonsense clean song. Helping someone learn about God and that there is more to life than sex, fame, money, things.....

Now not so tired..... dressing up like the gingerbread man for a hospital thing for kids, one of the most exhilirating things in my life. seeing the kids smile and laugh and play around with me and of course myself acting like a goofball....... that was living. No sex, not fame (kids don't know who I was) no money..... just joy. that was living. oh gosh I'm way off topic , Dan. Ok, um, lets wrap it up. Things are not worth a  lick..... to live is not to have, to live is to give. wow, sorta sounds lame ending.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, God, again take care of her family and her of course. No matter where in life she is or if with who. My parents, help them cope with abuelo going down hill, i'm bad at trying to  comfort or such. The siblings, well, take care of them too and their kids. Sam, well, Sam's amazing person. Thank you that I got to play a part in  challenging and just able to speak to Sam about You. I know I didn't do much but that was living. I forgot how much I liked talking about you to people. I'm sorry I fail, I'm sorry for this hardness. Again for her, I dunno. Well, I'm just rambling. Help the nation, we are morally corrupt. Alas, rome and greece and all those "great" nations.... they all crumbled. thank you for giving life.

08. Michael Card - Why

Why did it have to be a friend
Who chose to betray the Lord
Why did he use a kiss to show them
That's not what a kiss is for

Only a friend can betray a friend
A stranger has nothing to gain
And only a friend comes close enough
To ever cause so much pain

And why did there have to be thorny
Crown pressed upon His head
It should have been the royal one
Made of jewels and gold instead

It had to be a crown of thorns
Because in this life that we live
For all who seek to love
A thorn is all the world has to give

And why did it have to be
A heavy cross He was made to bare
And why did they nail His feet and hands
His love would have held Him there

It was a cross for on a cross
A thief was supposed to pay
And Jesus had come into the world
To steal every heart away

Yes, Jesus had come into the world
To steal every heart away

Sacrifice, what is that? To some it's those guys across the way who are putting their lives on the line to not have another 911 or fight terrorism. To another it is not buying that donut or getting that burger.

This is sacrifice, to lay ones life down for another not cause they deserve it but because they are worth it. No one who sacrifices should expect that the one sacrificed for will ever appreciate it or be in gratitude. When i say, hey I love you, it is not cause you are the best thing since sliced bread, but because to me, you are worth all i have. to sacrifice as God says is to do that to everyone not for your own gratification but for His. Not because you get something but because something is given.

Sacrifice was this. ....  it had to be done.

May God have mercy and shed many blessings on our families, on her, and her familly. may bridges burned be rebuilt, may sacrifices made be not forgotten. forgive us our pride, forgive our foolishness..... forgive and help us sacrifice in love.

Red-Hide (lyrics)-

Waste away
I'm crawling blind
followed by what I left inside
For you, just you
I'm caught in place
But I ignore what I can't erase

I will run and hide till memories fade away
And I will leave behind a love so strong

Close my eyes theses voices say
Haunting me, I can't escape
For you, just you
Time will always wait
While I throw away what I can't replace

I will run and hide till memories fade away
And I will leave behind a love so strong [x2]

I will run and hide!
And I will leave behind!

I will run and hide till memories fade away
And I will leave behind a love so strong!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I for one wish some memories would fade from some people's minds and definitely my own. What helps fade it away? Anger? NO NOT AT ALL. Hate? NO. these things just change how one looks at it. Love? Hm, maybe?
I know I mess up and I want people to love me enought to forgive me my mess ups and also to see what is there of good and not focus on the bad. Anger has never helped in that sense, hate even less so. In fact, many troubles and pain I have and do cause are from anger...... Crud I'm sorry AE (S?), I'm beyond sorrowful for my lack of expression in positive. to the day my last breath I will be sorry and I love you still.

To family, I'm a moron, not so smart or good. Not strong but weak. and I'm sorry. But what makes memories fade? If you focus on love, you learn that though the memories may not leave, they fade, Love conquers them.
Leave behind love stronger than the most acidic sarcasm or anger or hate or jealousy or sadness and it will fade , if I have to hide behind anything, OH GOD help me hide behind love, even in it's simplest form.

To God be the gory forever and ever. Til my last breath.

in out, or not about

Funny thing, perspective is key. What is our focus on?  Well, Dan, what is it? Is the glass half full or half empty?
In religion, somehow people look at what they can see.... the water in the glass...... or the doctrines people can write and the person in front doing this or that. They say, "This is bad cause she /he/ i want to believe things my way......." Everyone does it, hence why there are those who say the glass is half empty or full ( You can't go to see that person, they are gay." or " You can't have the Lord's supper AFTER the sermon.... it has to go song, prayer, verse, songs Lord's supper, Song, lesson, song, prayer, announcements, etc...." (Um I don't think i got the order right anyways).

Is Christianity substance only? Going to services or community work or making a club of "church people"? No, it isn't. Is it people who just get to a building or house and read the Bible or make things to do to show good stuff? Nope. It is a combination of what both seen and unseen. Of the things we do and that which we don't see...... our hearts. That makes the glass full or empty. Before we say if something is good or bad (full or empty, maybe we should be glad it has something in it and everyone has something good in them.
This probably doesn't make sense at the moment but it is merely just thinking out loud, trying to see from a different perspective, organize thought by throwing it out disorganized.

1 Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

Psalm 86:5

NIV

You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you.
