For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

Pirate joke
Laughter is a grand thing . May God help us laugh and smile.
A seaman meets a pirate in a bar. The pirate has a peg-leg, a hook and an eye patch. "How'd you end up with a peg-leg?" asks the sailor. "I was swept overboard in a storm," says the pirate.
"A shark bit off me whole leg."
"Wow!" said the seaman. "What about the hook?"
"We were boarding an enemy ship, battling the other sailors with swords. One of them cut me
"Incredible!" remarked the seaman. "And the eye patch?" "A seagull dropping fell in me eye," replied the pirate.
"You lost your eye to a seagull dropping?" the sailor asked incredulously.
Said the pirate.
"It was the first day with the hook.
-laughter is a grand gift, thank God for it . Thank you God ! Give others smiles please . -

Joke for today
Don't Get Caught Drinkin and Drivin
One day, two rednecks named Bubba and
Earl were driving down the road,
drinking a couple of cold beers.
The passenger, Bubba, said "Lookey thar up ahead Earl, it's a po-leece roadblock!
We're gonna get busted fer drinkin' these here beers!"
"Don't worry Bubba," Earl said. "We'll just pull over and finish drinkin'
these beers, peel off the label and stick it on our foreheads, then throw
the bottles under the seat."
"What fer?" asked Bubba.
"Just let me do the talkin', okay?" said Earl. They finished their beers,
threw the empty bottles under the seat and slapped the labels on their foreheads.
When they reached the roadblock, the sheriff said, "Have you boys been drinking?"
"No sir," said Earl, "we're on the patch."

well, real writing today
Well dan, u write today. It is easy to do the easy thing, after a while you just do it without thinking. Like how easy itis to just put up a quote/ saying and wham, post for the day.
That is how I can be as a christian, good stuff happens, good christian, bad stuff, bad Christian. Or not searching intently for truth, God's truth, not just what makes me feel good or what others say is good. I made a committment to God, why then am I struggling so much to keep it? Because it breaks my heart what is going on, because the training in this lifeis not about doing good, it's about feeling good. This is totally against God. But it seems so right, "God wants me to be happy" , yes, in Him no matter what. But we train ourselves that if something doesn't feel good or look good, we have to get away from it. Through our struggles do we find out what we are made of and how much we truly believe. Through the fire do we become refined, do we find out what really drives us.
On another note, I love her, this fire or trial does not decrease that at all. I just wish I knew what to do. A.E. E., please.
Oh God why? Is there no comfort? Your Word is true, either I believe it as it says or not. I can't take what I want and add or ignore to make it make "more adaptable", or just "easier". Please, need a miracle. Please.
Thank You.

now for a commercial break
"Lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil [or, the evil one]." -
Luke 11:4What we are taught to seek or shun in prayer, we should equally pursue or avoid in action. Very earnestly, therefore, should we avoid temptation, seeking to walk so guardedly in the path of obedience, that we may never tempt the devil to tempt us. We are not to enter the thicket in search of the lion. Dearly might we pay for such presumption. This lion may cross our path or leap upon us from the thicket, but we have nothing to do with hunting him. He that meeteth with him, even though he winneth the day, will find it a stern struggle. Let the Christian pray that he may be spared the encounter. Our Saviour, who had experience of what temptation meant, thus earnestly admonished his disciples--"Pray that ye enter not into temptation."
But let us do as we will, we shall be tempted; hence the prayer "deliver us from evil." God had one Son without sin; but he has no son without temptation. The natural man is born to trouble as the sparks fly upwards, and the Christian man is born to temptation just as certainly. We must be always on our watch against Satan, because, like a thief, he gives no intimation of his approach. Believers who have had experience of the ways of Satan, know that there are certain seasons when he will most probably make an attack, just as at certain seasons bleak winds may be expected; thus the Christian is put on a double guard by fear of danger, and the danger is averted by preparing to meet it. Prevention is better than cure: it is better to be so well armed that the devil will not attack you, than to endure the perils of the fight, even though you come off a conqueror. Pray this evening first that you may not be tempted, and next that if temptation be permitted, you may be delivered from the evil one.

Destruction of self
Someone once told me (think I've said it before) "that unless you can say you went through what Jesus and God went through, then there is nothing to complain about or it isn't too difficult to handle" (not exact wording) .
So why destruction of self title? Well, it serves a couple purposes, Dan. Destruction is defined as : the state or fact of being destroyed. 2. The action or process of destroying something, 3 a destroying agency. (Merriam-Webster dictionary)
The purposes I think of is the breaking down/destroying back to a ground level to self. Also, this is a process not just a boom and done.
Like a weed, you can cut it down and so forth, but it always seems to come back. Me, myself,I , all self. So, destruction, what does it mean here ?
In one's eyes, the world is ending (figuratively)if something goes wrong or unexpected. "This wans't supposed to happen like this" "not what I signed up for" never thought I ____"
So, um, this has to stop Dan. This is where destruction starts. The me. Actually, not sure if it is rightly explained, the self is who we are; but the self is not what we were made for.
Um, Dan, you just got goosebumps and real uneasy there..... Yeah definitely. Wow um, this is really difficult at this second. This is a good start. Wow, time has passed and this still messes with me. This writing is kinda, no was started as therapy for me, hoped it would help others too, but it has been a bit since I have been hit this hard by writing.I'm actually at tears and breathing hard. Wow, the selfishness inside isn't wanting to face this. Well this is a start, as much as you don't want to say this or face it - self is a part of me, but it isn't the focus of me- to be explained in better detail tomorrow. No excuses Dan, cause I want to see exactly what you were affected like this for.
Oh God, help me write this Your way and not hold back. Be with the woman of my heart.guide her and guide me. The confusion is mind boggling. You are righteous but we are not. Your will be done, help the self step back so it is all for and by You; to easy to make it not, corruption prevails, yet You already won the war. We lose the battles. Please help, don't know why or what purpose but see us through, your way. May the tears not be overlooked and convict our hearts by the Word . In Jesus name, amen!
Night, good dreams. Blessings.

Hm just some verses
Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.'
- Matthew 28:18
-some people think that this is just a "yay, Jesus has the power!"
Rightly so, no argument there. Yet look at it another way and well, if "..... All authority ....."is given to Jesus , then, Dan , no one else, not you not anyone else has it. Hm, chew on that for a bit and what it means ..... -
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness - 2 Timothy 3:16
-Um , we like when we get to be the one to correct and instruct and so forth, but what happens when we ate the ones getting it? Also, of God not ourselves. That is, the scripture is not me talking. That also means that the words are or hm, when they are used and neglected or even when I or others don't want to listen, it isn't against me, it is against God. There is a problem when I listen without going to scripture not to prove what I want or someone said, but to see what God says.
Chew on that Dan. For a while . Well prolly a lot longer than a bit.

Rainy days
Boo, me no like getting in trouble. How did I get in trouble twice today for same thing ? Dan, just say it, go ahead. Stupidity on your part. Yes, less than 4 hrs apart got in trouble. Now prolly won't makes sense, but chewing gum in a formation. Yeah dumb, no not talking bout the rule, that I did it 2x . Now things coulda went a few ways, either throw a fit (bad idea) or be sarcastic about it, or take it . I took it and just took it , in CEO t of everybody and later when it was revisited . But still I had to repent. Why? Cause the first time I was annoyed by the tone in correcting, yeah I know, so what? My feelings were hurt and I let that get in my way. Second, while it wasn't til later I figured out no chewing gum in formation, my pride got in the way and instead of asking what exactly I did wrong (people dip tobacco in formation, but that is something else),I just did what I thought and later tried to hide that I was chewing gum (gum is ok, but didn't think through this all) .yeah apprise arms selfishness and even more, was talking to a guy bout it at lunch hoping for pity, and he understood, but stuck also to the rule.
All this started with pride.
Jesus said : Matthew 15:8
8 This people honoreth me with their lips; But their heart is far from me.
That was me , I spoke right but in my heart I was wrong.
Also, Matthew 15:18-19
18 But the things which proceed out of the mouth come forth out of the heart; and they defile the man. 19 For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, railings:
(verses in King James, on hand bible)
The point though is the heart and pride are deceiving. It is also here where sin takes it's roots. Did I have a choice? Yes to accept and learn, instead I did what many do, outwardly show something yet inwardly continue. Is that an excuse " well he did this " NO . We have a choice, which will we make ? Be careful, cause like the escalation I had sin can and will continue and make all seem ok in ones eyes when really, it is not.
As it says : (NET) Proverbs 28:26 The one who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but the one who walks in wisdom will escape.
Or
Jeremiah 17:9
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?
Well, there is more on this but hope it helps someone by my mistakes today. Will get back to this another time Dan.
GOD bless.
GOD be with her and guide us to YOUR truth and righteousness cause we can't get it on our own or trusting fully ourselves aka and others. Your Words are truth.( John 17:17
17 Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth. )
